John has over 18 years of ministry experience serving many different people groups in both the local church and parachurch organizations. He has ministered to undergraduate and graduate students within academic communities as well as youth through senior adults both domestically and abroad within the local church setting. In addition to serving short-term in Peru and Spain, he has most recently lived, studied and served longer term in Israel.
John met his German wife, Dorothee, in Israel where they married and lived before joining the family of FEFCM. Together they have a son, Hesediah (pronounced, Heh – said – ya), which is Hebrew for, lovingkindness of the Lord.
Before pursuing vocational ministry, he worked as a Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office and a pharmaceutical representative with Eli Lilly & Company. He has a B.S. in Biology, M.S. in Biotechnology, and a Th.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary concentrating in the Old Testament and Messianic prophecy. His additional graduate level work at Hebrew University of Jerusalem focused on the disciplines of archaeological, Jewish, Islamic and biblical studies. John is a member of the Evangelical Theological Society.
