The Pastor Search Committee is currently gathering general church history and demographic information. Also, the elders are working on definitions of the church’s missional, relational, and development goals. The Committee will examine the results of the CHAT survey as a part of this process. Their next meeting is January 6. Our small group has been praying and did pray tonight for you all. We missed you Nanette, Larry and Amber. Can’t wait to have you all back and hear how God used you all. Will continue to cover the ministry team in pray for health,safety, your families back here and God’s hand over all your work. Bonjour!! Well, it is Sunday night, here in France. God has done amazing work over here. The VBS program that we did yesterday was just simply amazing, its was the hand of God that provided everything. We were able to play with the kids outside and God kept the rain away until we were packing up ready to leave. The kids were great, they were excited and very apt to hear the message that both Larry and Kyle had presented. Today at the Thanksgiving dinner we had prepared it was awesome to see how many people turned out, it was enough to fill the facility, but not over crowded. Praise God!! Larry’s message that he presented was very well, and was right on track with what I feel God was trying to get across. Thanks to everyone once again who has been praying and providing for us, we are very blessed by all of you guys and we are looking forward to seeng what God will do with the lives of those that we came across this weekend. Bienvenue! Good evening everyone! Praise God for another wonderful day here in Lyon. This morning the team woke up and had breakfast, which consisted of bread and coffee, not the same eggs, bacon, and sausage us Americans are accustomed to ha ha. After we ate, Mike took us around the city all day today. We visited many great sites, and took lots of pictures. We had a wonderful meal at the Les Ventres Jean tonight, and everything was just amazing. We all took time to reflect upon the fact that none of us would be here experiencing this if we had not listened to what God has placed upon our hearts. This team is composed of 6 individuals that have never worked together before and we are all so humbled by how God has brought us together. Tomorrow we start the prep-work for our children’s ministry. Pray for the children that will be attending and that we will be able to touch their hearts. Pray also for Mike and his family as they are reaching out to many families at one time, and trying to establish more communities that know the Lord. Hello, The update on Amber’s daughter Rhonda is that she is currently in having a Skeletal MRI and should hear something on Friday about an appointment for biopsies. Everyone in the family mom (Amber) has the blog and is getting updates. Love you Hello France Team, What a good looking team you are! So thankful you made it without a hitch! God is so amazingly faithful. Why do we struggle so much to pray when we know it is the instrument that moves the Hand of God? We humans! The weather looks good on Google for you guys tomorrow. Have a great time! God will change us here in the USA as we pray for you and you will be changed through all of what you see God do in Lyon France. You all are an example of faithfulness to the Lord. Mike has been awesome with getting us everything we need and taking us around, Praise God. The agenda tonight, we will be going to Mike’s house and discuss the rest of the plans for the week. We have made it down to logan airport with the help of Joyce Elsmore, thank you so much for driving us down, you made the trip down here to Boston stress free and very relaxing. Everyone made it through security just fine, and we are now sitting at our gate awaiting to board, only about 1 hour and 20 minutes to go. Thank you again to everyone who helped make this trip possbile. |
